My timelapse with iMovie

by

Don’t get too much time these days to play around with iMovie :) it is a bit of a fun though so I make a video every now and then.

This time I’ve done my first timelapse video. Recorded for a day from different balconies and spots around my apartment and put it into an under 2 minutes timelapse video. As you can see, there is a lot happening in a day around here :)

The wind was strong and my camera shook a few times, however has still captured a lot of things happening…

That was just a fun video, and there is quite a bit going on around there. That town looks familiar but I dare not venture a guess that I might be wrong. You have some beautiful views from your apartment especially the one of the city and the canal that is really cool. I hope you will continue to share your hobby with us.

That was very cool! I wish you had put in the article where this is because I have never seen so many boats moving around like that unless it was on a lake during a weekend. This looks like they are commuting this way. Maybe you could post again with where this is at? I need to learn to do this because that was fun.

Hey Jose, the river is called Nerang River and I live where the river confluences the Pacific Ocean on the east coast of Australia on the Gold Coast, hence the big water in the background. I hope that helps :)

So is a time lapse movie like this just spliced together and played in fast forward? This is very interesting and the kids in my class would love to put something like this together but I have to figure it out first. Thank you for sharing this I think if I play it over and over again I can get a grasp on how it is done and what I will need to do it.

Hey Lisa, good on you for thinking of the kids in your class, that’s pretty cool. Yup, it is pretty easy to do in iMovie (I am not sure about other video editing software) you just cut you clips together and speed it up. I hope it helps.
